The Houston Power Party

This year, the city of Houston is hosting one of the largest sporting events in the nation, Super Bowl LI. With an event of this magnitude being celebrated in the nation’s 4th largest city, we are determined to make an unforgettable experience to all participants of the Houston Power Party.

The Houston Power Party will raise the bar with its inaugural event during this milestone week of sports and extravagant events in Houston during Super Bowl LI. At this event, held at one of Houston’s premier museums, art, fashion, music, and sports will collide for the quintessential event during the Super Bowl week. Our exciting event experience will feature multiple interactive areas throughout the museum, access to one-of-a-kind exhibits, celebrity appearances, theatrical lighting, concert level sound, and several unique experiences.

In addition, The Houston Power Party will highlight and define all of the hard work and various efforts of two foundations that are centered around youth enrichment in the Greater Houston area, the Santana Dotson Foundation and the Moran Norris Foundation.

Featuring KID CAPRI LIVE! Go DJ Hi-C, DJ Supastar & Donnie Houston also in the mix!

About the Foundations

The Santana Dotson Foundation is designed to provide assistance to financially challenged, yet deserving inner-city high school students. Recipients will receive assistance with financial aid and college selection, how-to workshops that tutor the student in completing a college application, training with being a successful student, goal setting, interpersonal skills and the importance of personal integrity. The recipients are required to have a minimum 2.5 GPA, submit an essay, volunteer time to a non-profit organization and/or neighborhood improvement project. This teaches the recipient the importance of “giving back” and assisting others in need.

The Moran Norris Foundation is dedicated and committed to helping youth progress to higher standards in education and character. Many communities, such as Houston and its surrounding areas, are plagued with juvenile delinquency, drug and gang violence, poverty, under-funded educational programs, alarming drop-out rates, and many other factors that contribute to the attrition of growth and prosperity of our youth. As a result, many youths do not receive a standard education nor develop into productive citizens. The Moran Norris Foundation believes that each child, when given the opportunity, can overcome these obstacles and realize their dreams.
